Marker Layering Tutorial

This is something I have wanted to take the time to post for awhile now, I just haven't had the time. I've seen a couple of tutorials posted to date but am still posting my own.

In order to make this card you'll need:

-Shimmery White Cardstock 3"x4"
-Whisper White Cardstock 3 1/4" x 4 1/4"
-Sahara Sand Cardstock 4 1/4" x 11" (cardbase)
-Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon 11"
-Pretty in Pink Ink Pad
-Sahara Sand Ink Pad
-Pink Pirouette Stampin Write Marker
-Pretty in Pink Stampin Write Marker
-Regal Rose Stampin Write Marker
-Rose Red Stampin Write Marker
-Pear Pizzazz Stampin Write Marker
-Lucky Limeade Stampin Write Marker
-Simply soft stamp set
-Black Staz on Ink Pad

The first thing your going to want to do is grab your shimmery white cardstock, stamp your images using black staz on. Do not use classic ink or the ink will bleed when your coloring it in. It should look like this.
The next step is to grab your pink pirouette stampin write marker, color in all the flowers with this color first. It should look like this when your done.

Next you'll want to grab your pretty in pink stampin write marker. Color in all the flowers but leave the tips showing in pink piroutette. It should look like this when your done.
Next you'll want to grab your regal rose stampin write marker and again leave the the pink pirouette and pretty in pink showing. It will just be a tiny bit at the bottom of each flower. It should look like this.
Next you'll want to grab your Rose Red stampin write marker and put just a small dot at the bottom of each flower. Once you've finished this step you should have 4 layers of markers in pink. It should look like this.
We still have to color in our stems and leaves. For this we're going to start off with pear pizzazz, color everything left in this color. When your finished it should look like this.
And in order to add a bit of depth (shadowing) we're also going to add a touch of lucky limeade. I added a bit here and there on the stems as well as on the leaves.
And last but not least I sponged on some pretty in pink, being careful not to go to dark and leaving it white around the flowers so that there is a big circle around each one. After your done sponging in pretty in pink grab your sahara sand ink pad and sponge overtop the pretty in pink, this will help soften it some as well as give it some depth.
Next your going to want to matt your completed stamped image onto the piece of whisper white cardstock. After you've attached it using snail or sticky strip you'll want to attach your ribbon and tie it as well. Set this aside. Grab your cardbase in sahara sand. Make sure it has been scored and folded in half. Then grab the petals of your choice to stamp a background on the sahara sand using sahara sand ink pad. Stamp all over. Once your done you can attach the stamped image and your done. Your card should look something like this.
I hope your were all able to follow along. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. This is my first full tutorial that I have posted on here with pics. Please let me know if there is anything I can improve on.
